Graduates

A wise person once spoke to me and a group of new graduates. He explained to us that as we all know, we are each given a certain amount of time to come in, live and then leave this world and upon doing so, will receive a tombstone. He went on saying that upon that tombstone will be two very important dates. The day that we were born and the day that we died. He then stated that while these two dates are very importanat, there is one part of the tombstone that should speak out mor than any other. That part that he spoke of, was the very thin line few notice that connects the two dates welcoming and seeing us out of this world. This line holds such a great importance because an individual is not remembered as much for they day they were born or die, but all the achievements they accomplished in between. That is how each and everyone of us should sttempt to establish ourselves. As the difference maker, or as a new change. We have to refuse to be the beginning as well as the end of the story, but instead the strong willed heartbeat that keeps it flowing in between.
