One Thing God

If you could ask God for only one thing, what would it be?  Would you ask Him for something that costs money?  Would you ask him to take care of some problem that you have?  Well, King David made one request of God, and you might  be surprised to hear what He asked for.  In Psalms 27:4, David wrote:  ”One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek:  that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.”  David could have asked for money, but he didn’t.  He could have asked God to wipe out his enemies or help him be a better king, but that wasn’t his focus.  David was obsessed with God.  He was consumed by the creator of the universe and his one request was just to spend time with Him.  ”God if I only get one thing, let me hang out with You.  Let me see you as you are in all of your radiance.”  David asked for the right thing and he discovered that God was faithful to answer his request.  You would be wise to ask for the same thing.

"Jesus I Thought Nothing Was Free"

You know the cliché’ if it is too good to be true, then it must be.”  She was referring to the free gift of salvation, the unconditional forgiveness of sins, and the limitless supply of love offered from God, through Jesus Christ, but I told her that there is no catch. God offers peace that passes all understanding and is bigger than any circumstance.  He promises to always stick close to me even when everyone else abandons me.  He said that he would heal my broken heart, and make beauty out of the ashes. He proposes great things in exchange for horrible things and to renew things that are broken.  It might sound too good to be true, but it isn’t.  All he asks in exchange is my heart.  He wants my love and my attention.  He wants a surrendered life.  If you are searching for meaning…for real life…and for freedom, you will find it in a relationship with Christ.  Only he can take your messes and turn them into a masterpiece

He's Some Kinda Awesome LOL

Jesus Pulling out my bead!

I am convinced that God has the answers to every situation that we will face.  One day while I was traveling, I received a phone call from my mom telling me that my youngest sister had gotten a glass bead stuck in her ear.  They were on their way to the emergency room.  When they arrived, the doctors began to hold my little sister down poking and picking.  However, after three hours nothing had worked.  Giving up, they scheduled a surgery.  Not satisfied with their answers, my mom began to pray.  The answers came at four in the morning.  My mom woke with a strategy in mind that she is convinced God gave her.  She lubed Courtney’s ear with olive oil, broke off a cue tip, and put a small dab of superglue on the end.  As she set the glued-q-tip, on the exposed part of the bead, it sealed itself there. After a few minutes the bead came out easily.  In all of their training, the doctors could not get out the bead, but in all His wisdom, God knew exactly how to make it work.Having some struggles in your life today? Have some questions and you need reliable answers?  Ask God for his input. His strategies are always available if we will listen, and they will prove flawless if we obey.

Day from Hell Part 4

OK so here we go! yes I'm scared and no I have no clue if this is actually going to work! Btw I do not recommend these study tactics to anyone! I'll be starting my walk now and I'm taking 53 flash cards with me. I know that seem like alot but keep in mind that I put some of the same terms in the deck of the terms I seem to have a harder time with in order to familiarize myself with them all the more! Wish me luck! 8:59 am

Day from hell part three

OK so I have added just a few steps to my plan! I've already contacted my co-worker in an attempt to get numbers to hopefully get people to cover the shift for me. However I highly doubt that any of them will so I will probably just end up calling off. Your probably wondering why I have not started studying right now but I guarantee you that this rambling is merely me trying to sort out my thoughts which will prove to be better for my brain in the end. Whats not good for my brain is the two shots of spike I just had and the two others that I will be taking in a few hours in an attempt to keep my brain at maximum working capacity while I tackle these 48 pages I'm about to hammer out! All that while simultaneously blogging and keeping up on Tumblr and the Facebook! Get ready for a ride! ; (

Day from Hell part 2-Ok so here we go

It's officially 8:34 and I have just put together a lil something I think might work! My plan to tackle my academic craziness goes a little like this. Top of the hour every hour I am going to take to the park walking and memorizing the new terms that I am learning from psych. Meanwhile every hour when the clock hits 30 I will be taking back to the reading in order to add new terms so I can master the tests that I have to do at the end of the day! Sounds great so far however I still need a plan that will get me out of work tonight and give me back the 8 hrs or so that society wants to take away from me!

The day from Hell

OK so I may have messed up  a little bit on just how to prioritize my weekend!! It was my bday yesterday and I knew I had a huge amount of work to do today and yet I still managed to put myself in a panic by not attacking my 14 or so hours of homework until now! I can still manage it but I'm going to need a plan!

I'm stuck on you

I know so many people that feel locked inside of their circumstances or their emotions. Although they want to break free from depression, loneliness, or their anger, they feel trapped. Even though they long to overcome their failure, they feel that it has handcuffed them to their past in a way that will continue to steal from their future. If you are one of those people that feel trapped by your emotions or by your past, you need to realize that God is waiting to set you free. His loves you and will not judge you. But, rather, he will work with you to help you experience the peace, joy, and contentment that only come when you are free to run with God and overcome your circumstances.
